Get around
To get around Naples, you'll most often be using the bus/trolley system. Piazza Garibaldi, in front of the central train station, is the terminus for almost every Neapolitan bus.
Tram 1 runs from the western edge of Piazza Garibaldi (the far side from the train station) direct to the Molo Beverello ferry docks.
To get to the hilltop neighborhoods like the Vomero, has Naples built several funiculari (cog railways).

How to get bus tickets in Naples
You only need one ticket for any intercity public transport: bus, metro, funicular, or the city portions of rail lines.
This Unico Napoli ticket is available for €1.10 at any tabacchi, most newsstands, and all metro stops, funicular stations, and train stations.
It's valid for 90 minutes, during which time you can transfer between as many buses as you'd like, plus once only to each of the other public transport systems (Metro, funicular, etc.).
There's also a daily pass for €3.10—though the one-day pass on a weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) is just €2.60.
