Hotels in Pisa for less than €100

A room at Pisa's Hotel Francesco* Hotel Francesco - Just down the street from the Leaning Tower and its associated miracles of architecture, the family-run Hotel Francesco is one of my favorite inns in Pisa—for the friendly management of the Corradino family, the free Internet in the lounge, and the views of the top half of the Leaning Tower from the breakfast terrace. Via Santa Maria 129; tel. +39-050-555-453; www.hotelfrancesco.com; Double rooms €60–€150; From €50 online Reserve it

The lobby of the Hotel Royal Victoria in Pisa* Hotel Royal Victoria - It's hard to beat the centuries of (slightly tattered) class at the Hotel Royal Victoria overlooking the Arno River. It's been a hotel since 1837, and some rooms are in ancient stone towers, others are covered in faded trompe-l'oeil frescoes of wall curtains. For all its slightly musty style, I really dig this dimly-lit holdover from the era of the 19th century Grand Tour. Lungarno Pacinotti 12; tel. +39-050-940-111; www.royalvictoria.it; Double rooms €80–€150; From €40 online Reserve it

A room at the Hotel Villa Kinzica in Pisa* Hotel Villa Kinzica - The Villa Kinzica may not be much to look at—servicebale and comfortable but pretty bland modern rooms, and a drearily dark reception area—but it has one huge trump card: it lies just a few yards from the Campo dei Miracoli with doubles for €49–€110—less if you book online. Do yourself a favor and ask for a room with a view of the Leaning Tower. Piazza Arcivescovado 2; tel. +39-050-560-419, www.hotelvillakinzica.it; Double rooms €49–€108; From €49 online. Reserve it
