It's spare, dark, echoey, and bang in the center of town, with different views from rooms on both sides of the hotel.
The family-run Biancamaria has an old-fashioned attitude (they turn away scruffy backpackers) but ultra-modern veneer furnishings in the rooms, along with sparkling new huge baths featuring heated towel racks and hairdryers.
The 25 accommodations are generally very big, with contemporary tile floors, small easy chairs, and pale flowery prints on the bedspreads.
Rooms with the Monte Solaro view have small terraces over the town's main drag, which isn't busy very late but for even more quiet request a sea-view room with French doors opening onto a fantastic panorama of the Bay of Naples.
