Great news! In conjunction with Bliss Travels, I will be leading a week-long tour of Florence and the Tuscan Wine Country in July 2015, and the lucky first dozen people to sign up can come along.

Details are still being hammered out, but we plan to spend two days in Florence, exploring its rich artistic and cultural legacy in the footsteps of Michelangelo and the Medici, followed by four nights in the ultimate Tuscan hill town, Montepulciano.

From our Montepulciano base, we will sample Vino Nobile wine from barrels aged in Etruscan-dug tunnels under Renaissance palazzi, take historic walks and private cooking classes, and tour the spectacular towns and vine-draped hills of the surrounding Sienese countryside.

Montepulciano wine tasting cellarEtruscan tunnels under the Renaissance palazzi of Montepulciano now serve as wine cellars for Vino Nobile vintners.

How much will it cost?

The ground price will be around $3,500 per person.

That covers all the basics:

  • Hotels
  • Breakfasts
  • Daily sightseeing tours and excursions personally guided by Reid Bramblett, creator of this site and author of more than a dozen guidebooks to Italy who has more than 30 years of experience exploring every nook, cranny, and province of Italy.

The cost also cover some top Italy experiences, including exclusive access opportunities:

  • Wine tastings and vineyard visits
  • A cooking lesson or two
  • Several group lunches and dinners
  • A private van and driver
  • Your own private guide: Me!

Add the Italian Riviera—or even a week in Provence

Want more? You can extend your trip into Provence by signing up for a Bliss Travels tour of the vineyards, villages, and Michelin-starred restaurants of France’s Luberon region.

These two trips will be linked, so as a bonus you get to spend a night or two on the Italian Rivera en route (I’ll also be there for that portion).

Or you can opt to just spend the two nights on the Riviera and then depart from Nice.

How to sign up (or just get more information)

This will be an exclusive trip—limited to just 12 people. So contact Bliss Travels now (wendy@blisstravels.com or tel. 609-462-6213) to start making plans to spend next summer with me in Tuscany.
