Palermo by bus

Getting around Palermo by bus

Palermo's bus system is modern and efficient, with the major central lines routed down Via Roma, Via Maqueda, and Corso V. Emanuele.

The most useful hubs are at the Stazione Centrale/Piazza Giulio Cesare (the train station), Piazza Indipendenza (behind the royal Palazzo dei Normanni at the end of Corso V. Emanuele), Piazza Verdi/Teatro Massimo, and Piazza Castelnuovo/Politeama.

Bus tickets are available at most newsstands and tabacchi (tabacconists).
