» THE VENICE BOOKSHELF
The owner of the exclusive, pricey Antico Martini restaurant opened this relaxed, affordable little joint, which specializes in excellent staple dishes coupled with an impressive wine list featuring more than 350 Italian and foreign vintages (all for sale by the bottle as well as by the glass).
Order at the counter, and then find a free seat at the simple tables in one of two cramped rooms. Servers bring your meal out to you as you sit back and enjoy a self-guided wine tasting. Another nice touch: it's open nonstop from 11:30am to 11:30pm.
