This 16th-century Jesuit church was heavily baroqued in the 17th and 18th centuries with a ton of inlaid marble and sculptures for an almost sgrafitto look of white and yellow frills against a black background.
In the left aisle, the second chapel has a Pietro Novelli painting of saints, while the fourth chapel on the right aisle preserves a Madonna di Trapani statue by the school of the Gagini.
The stained glass and (ugly) ceiling frescoes are modern (1954–56) restorations necessitated by World War II bomb damage.
