This is about as offbeat as they come.

The Museum of Souls in Purgatory is installed in the little Neo-gothic church of Sacro Cuore del Suffragio on the banks of the Tiber River, built in 1894–1917 by Giuseppe Gualandi.

The collections—mostly framed photographs along the walls—consists of "evidence" of souls trapped in Purgatory and trying to get to Heaven (said evidence consists primarily of ghostly hand prints seared into objects).
