  • How long to spend in Cefalù: Though relentless sightseers will be hard-pressed to fill more than a half day, Cefalù has a nice, easygoing vibe that makes it well worth planning to spend an overnight and see the town at a leisurely pace (especially if you plan to climb the headland).
  • How to get to Cefalù: Cefalù is about halfway along the north coast of Sicily on the main A20 highway, 165km (102 miles) west of Messina (2.5–4 hr. by train) and 70km (43 miles) east of Palermo (45–75 min. by ). » more
  • Tourist Information: The tourist office is at Corso Ruggiero 77 (tel. +39-0921-421-050, www.comune.cefalu.pa.it), open Monday to Saturday 8am to 2pm and 3:30 to 8:30pm.

    There are also info booths on Piazza Duomo (tel. +39-0921-421-508), at the train station and on Piazza Garibaldi open Monday to Saturday 9am to 1pm and 5:30pm to 9pm (in winter, they may have shorter evening hours or close altogether).
