Da Sandro is a good choice if you’re looking for an inexpensive pizza-and-beer meal (which, believe it or not, is hard to come by in Venice). The pizzas are crisp, delicious, and so large they hang over the edges of the plates.

Like most pizzerie/trattorie, Da Sandro offers a dozen varieties of pizza as well as a full trattoria menu of pastas and entrees. The only odd thing is that these offerings are on opposite sides of the street.

Yep, Da Sandro has two locations—directly across the street from one another. One is more of a proper restaurants or trattoria, the other a smaller space and mainly a pizzeria. Never seen that before.

At any rate, both offer you a few tables outside for al fresco dining and people-watching—and so you can wave at the other Da Sandro patrons across the way.
