FAQThis town isn't particularly hopping, but you can follow the crowds to the hot spot of the moment. Here are a few perennial faves.
Amid the genteel air of the 1950s Circolo dei Forestieri (Foreigner's Club), Via L. de Maio 35 off Piazza S. Antonino (tel. +39-081-877-3263, www.circolodeiforestieri.com), you can sit on the broad terrace and sip aperitivi while a lounge-style piano player provides background to the sweeping panorama across the twinkling lights strung along the Bay of Naples.
If it’s beer and dancing you're after, hit the ever popular English Inn, Corso Italia 55 (tel. +39-081-807-4357, www.englishinn.it), with a pub downstairs and tables on the street. There's also terraced seating up to the gardens above where a DJ or live band gets the dance floor groove going nightly.
If all you want is a free shot of limoncello liqueur, the shop Limonoro, Via S. Cesareo 49–53 (tel. +39-081-878-5348, www.limonoro.it), hands them out nightly in summer in the hopes you'll buy a bottle (plus you get to watch them make it in the back room).
